THE PHANTOM POGLE Part 3 by Anna V. Palmer
IT WAS ALL A MATTER OF CHANCE when, many years later, (June 2018) I came across an intriguing article written by Mysteries writer, Marcus Lowth, entitled “The Connection Of Alien Contact and Sudden Psychic Ability”. In reading it, the hairs on the back of my neck stood on end. Marcus was to report that around the age of three onwards, “Simon” (from Leeds, UK) would begin to witness “strange beings” in his room at night, (something Steven Spielberg is reported to have experienced in his early youth too). Simon, woke up frightened. He would often see an olive skin coloured figure whose head was oval and large. The creature had no hair on its head and its skin was “rubbery” and wrinkled. Even more bizarre, the entity had a patch over one eye, (his left eye). This last detail would lead Simon to refer to the creature as “the pirate”. Whenever “the pirate” appeared Simon would freeze, even to the point of not being able to speak. He would more often than not, hide under the sheets of his bed. The creature, however, would pull the sheets up and peer inside.” (Similar to my account of the entity and his frightening antics)
Marcus suggests, “In a drawing Simon did of the creature it is rather obvious that it is what most would refer to as a ‘Grey’ alien.” He adds how “Simon” of Leeds went on to have many psychic experiences in his life – (as I did too). The question that comes to my mind is, was it the same entity in view of the patch over one eye? The drawing Simon drew is virtually identical to my drawing from all those years ago – huge head, bulbous eyes and no hair. Leeds is less than 100k (62 miles) from where I was living at the time in Nottingham, UK, though many years before Simon’s experiences. The entity was ‘frightening’ and wore a patch over one eye – his left eye, Simon states. In conclusion, Marcus suggests that we could (unwittingly) be contacted at a very early age.
Is it a mere co-incidence? Or was it the same entity? Was the entity I encountered a folklore ‘bogle’ that goes back through a history of many years, or as Marcus suggests, an ET of the ‘grey’ kind which people knew nothing of at the end of WW11? Or are they - since times of yore - one and the same species? What do you think?
It is well known that many young children talk of playing with their (what is, to us, invisible) friend. But just how many youngsters are petrified by the sudden appearance of such a strange entity as described above, only to have their fears dismissed by their elders? Did you see something similar when you were a youngster too by any chance? End
