‘Tomorrow’s Sky’ – an interview with Medium John Anthony on the launch of his new SpirituAL Novel at the Southchurch Village Book Fair, Southend on Sea, Saturday 26th May 2007 – from Gill of Spiritworks

Gill: It has been a long time in the writing, so what is ‘Tomorrow’s Sky’ about?

JA: It is about two interesting characters exploring their true identity and how each of us walks a pathway of discovery through our lives. And it is about differing realities.

Gill: So would you say it is a religious book?

JA: No, not religious, but spiritual. The two main characters, Jack and Dale (Dale is a woman by the way) go through extraordinary experiences which illustrate that we live many lives. Some might say it is about reincarnation.

Gill: Does ‘Tomorrow’s Sky’ tell us how to live better than we do now?

JA: No, but ‘Tomorrow’s Sky’ does tell a story about real people who begin to discover their own spiritual nature and move on to apply that in their lives.

Gill: You have something controversial to say about God. Can you comment on that?

JA: Yes, I suppose it might be controversial. Although I do not now subscribe to a religion (which upsets some Spiritualists) I do have great respect for all genuine religions and for God. People’s beliefs are hugely important and indicate the place they have reached within awareness of Divine Consciousness. We all travel our chosen pathways toward that awareness; some might say, back to God, and I don’t really have a problem with that.

Gill: Would you say ‘Tomorrow’s Sky’ is a book suitable for anybody to read?

JA: Any adult yes. I think a few years of adult life experience is needed to get the best from it.

Gill: Another controversial area is what is said about the environment and destruction of the planet. What is your view on these very topical issues?

JA: I do not believe that humankind is responsible for destroying the planet. Have you noticed how ordinary people are being blamed for things like climate change? ‘Tomorrow’s Sky’ suggests that we can benefit from an awareness of our connection to all things, to nature, and that the planet will be a more comfortable place if we go that way. But I do not see us as destroyers of worlds. We are creators of worlds, at least our consciousness is.

Gill: In what ways will ‘Tomorrow’s Sky’ help deaf people, like me?

JA: Firstly, all the proceeds from sales of the book will go to the Spiritworks fund which as you know supports the work of the Cochlear Implant Department at the Royal National TNE Hospital London and Deafness Charities. Then it would be nice to think that the theme of the book, You Are All Things, will promote a greater connection between people which benefits everyone.

Gill: Finally, why did you write ‘Tomorrow’s Sky?’

JA: Because I had to and there will be more books to come. There is something special to say about humanity, that we are all spiritual beings and our task here is to be true to ourselves, to live a happy interesting life contributing to the evolution of our souls, the evolution of Divine Consciousness itself.

Gill: Thank you.

‘Tomorrow’s Sky’ - by John Anthony - a Spiritworks Book

Dale is embarking on the trip of a lifetime with husband Dew, heading for the new world. With her customary cheerful resolve she continues her adventure amidst the colourful clamour of Orange County. We watch as she deals with the curious challenges that await her in this extraordinary place. We see how she is changed by the experience and eventually faces up to her new view of herself and what her life is about, setting off across an inhospitable desert in pursuit of a mystical goal.
In a few short years Jack's dreams of a comfortable retirement with his wife Susan and time to maybe enjoy grand children were all gone. His job was taken from him, his son lost he knew not where and his wife snatched away before her time. Rattling around a very lonely country house Jack struggles to make sense of a series of personal disasters that even now pose a threat to his own life.
Delving into his wife’s hand written journals he discovers just how far she had already travelled in her spiritual understanding.. At the edge of despair Jack finds that he is not after all quite so alone. There are those, including his wife and son, who have things in mind for the disbelieving Jack.
What Dale and Jack might mean to one another and what happens to them in this series of unstoppable events, holds keys for us all, as we seek fulfilment in a changing world.
After reading ‘Tomorrow's Sky’ will you ever see yourself or your life in the same way again?
