DISCLAIMER FOR LOVE
Jane would like a reading
From a medium, who works with love
For Jane’s been feeling low of late
And needs connection to above
She has lost her mother you see
To the medium she turns for peace
She knows that it will comfort her
And help her find release
She walks into the spiritual building
And feels that warm and loving feeling,
She knows the medium works in love
And her intentions encourage healing
But the mediums says, “Sit down my dear
I want to help you with all my heart
I know you’re going through such a tough time
But just before we start…
I need you to sign for your cup of tea
In case that tea you spill,
I need you to sign for your reading
And be sure doing good is my will
I need you to sign for the biscuit you eat
In case you’re allergic to wheat
And I need you to prove that you’ve read the disclaimer
Before you take a seat
I want you to know that I do want to help
To spread love and comfort to all
I’m a medium who works to help mankind
From the heart when I hear a call
I now spend my time on policies
And neglect what I’m on earth to do
Next I will need to check the deceased
Have paid up their council tax too”
Laws for this and laws for that
Where will it all end
Do we have to sign a contract now
To be somebody’s friend
Is there a law of love
That spreads throughout the land
Or will a child need to sign
To hold their parent’s hand
